This giveaway is now closed. Thanks so much for entering!

Last week I hit my 100th post. Being my first big milestone I decided it was time to break out my first giveaway. One of my favorite readers will win this hand-made apron & kitchen towel. No, this is not a designer apron. They are however, one of a kind because they were made by me. I love to wear aprons, especially pretty ones, when I work in the kitchen. Otherwise I have either a water line or a flour line across the front of my shirt, that or the dreaded grease stain. Here’s how you can enter:
Leave a comment on this post telling me your favorite thing to cook.- For a second entry, link to this giveaway in your blog or on Twitter then leave another comment telling me you’ve done so.
- For a third entry, subscribe and let me know you’ve done so!
This giveaway will remain open until Sunday, March 15 at 11:59 p.m. (EST). The winner will be chosen at random and announced Monday morning.
This giveaway is open only to people residing in the United States (unless of course you’re willing to chip in the extra for shipping overseas
).
(Eww … crummy photos. The colors in the top pic are truer.)
Why I do what I do ~ For some reason I never figured out, my oldest niece kept calling Chloe her brother all day (then rolled her eyes at me when I didn’t understand). Their world of pretend is sometimes so very foreign to those who only speak Mommy.

Hi Nicki!
What a beautiful giveaway! I love to cook soups the most. The way they simmer and come together over a course of a day leaves the house smelling wonderful.
Oh, I subscribe and I’ll twitter this

Hey Nic!
I love the apron! You know me well enought to know I have a hard time following a recipe. My favorite thing to cook is anything I can experiment with to make it better!
Very pretty apron! I guess my favorite thing to cook is a roasted chicken. It is so easy to just stick it in the oven and let it cook with some veggies and seasonings. When it comes out it’s so juicy and the flavor is wonderful.

I LOVE cooking. Period. But, my favorite thing to cook is my own creation of chicken stir-fry: chicken, peppers, and onions sauteed in olive oil. I even make my own seasoning for it. Yum-O! And, actually, my apron is torn (sad, b/c it was made by a friend!), so I need a new one!!!

Nicki…I was just looking at Amy’s post (Wordless Wednesday) and noticed that she AND her girls have aprons…I was jealous
I L-O-V-E to cook anything sweet. Would that be considered baking? Cookies, brownies, cakes…I think I just gained 10 pounds thinking about it…lol!

So pretty, Nicki! I am so impressed with anyone who can sew well.
My favorite thing to cook right now is anything in the crockpot. Our afternoons go much more smoothly if dinner has been taken care of before 10 a.m.
I am tweeting your giveaway.

I love to cook just about everything so it is hard to choose just one. I think my favorite thing to cook is a new recipe! It’s always exciting to see if it will become a new favorite (or sometimes a dud), and we play “Top Chef” at the table — my DH tastes and tastes and tries to guess all the ingredients.
I’m also a subscriber — your “why I do what I do” makes my day every time.
Well, I’m addicted to the crockpot. But one of the favorite things we make is “Chilton Chili” and then we serve it over mashed potatoes.
(I’m enjoying your blog and have told lotsa friends about it too! THANKS!)

I love to bake breads, especially an Irish soda bread or a crusty French bread.
I also enjoy grilling a pork tenderloin that’s marinated in a homemade teriyaki sauce.
And, I love to smoke a pork shoulder for about 20 hours or so and serve that to friends and neighbors. I figure the neighbors had to smell it cooking for so long, they should enjoy it too!

What a pretty apron! My favorite thing to cook is chicken Marsala. I love dredging the thin chicken cutlets in the flour, slicing the mushrooms, and smelling the sweet Marsala wine as it cooks down.
I wrote a post linking to your giveaway.
Hooray for giveaways! The thing I’m loving right now is baking bread. I love the whole process of it, plus it makes the house smell really nice.

I recently subscribed and look forward to reading your posts. I am the only person I know that wears an apron, so it’s wonderful to read here that I am in good company! I love to cook so many things, but I guess my favorite would be adapting classic recipes to suit my vegetarian family. Nothing like comfort foods.
I just subscribed to your feed and I really enjoy your site. My New Year’s resolution was to teach myself how to sew (never done it in my 34 years!) and an apron is on my list.
My favorite thing to cook for my family is chicken corn chowder in the winter. It is easy to make, but most of all, everyone here enjoys it so much.

Hi Nicki, this is my first time posting a comment on a blog! I love to cook anything from my mom’s classic recipes like chicken and dumplings(the southern version). I have never used an apron before, which is evident from my spotted/splattered shirts! It is a really pretty apron, I know you did a good job on it!
Also I am a subscriber!

I like to cook everything but my favorite type of food to cook is Thai food. I don’t get to do it much, but I took 2 months of classes when I first got married and loved learning how to make one of our favorite types of cuisines. Also, I LOVE LOVE LOVE to bake…anything, cakes, cookies, breads, etc.
