Why I do what I do ~ Chloe was in time out for throwing a rock at my younger niece yesterday. My older niece handed me a rock and told me that was the one that Chloe had thrown. I went to Chloe with the rock, intending to speak very seriously with her about what a dangerous thing she had done. I began with, “Chloe, did you hit Aliyah with this rock?” She responded, “No, I hit her with a rock that was round and flat on one side.” I had to walk away and come back a minute later when I wasn’t smiling.

On a serious note, I had a cousin who suffered long term brain damage from another child who threw a rock at him. Terrible…
