Magically Erasing Crayon

magic-eraserThere’s something you should know about me: I like things clean. The scattered toys in the living room are alright with me but real messyness, dirtyness and clutter make me go mad. When I have weeks like the one I’m having now with paper piles forming, and laundry mounding I feel like I’m going to explode. I’m an efficient, motivated cleaner so getting to it isn’t as much of a problem as finding the time to do it all.

When I have a few minutes to clean I make the most of it. I’m quick, efficient and all business. What follows is a success story for me.

coloring-before

I wandered in my daughter’s room the other day and to my horror one of the girls had sneaked a few crayons and colored on nearly every hard surface in her room. I do my best to keep all of her things in good condition because the longer things last (or the more kids that can use them) the more I’m getting my money’s worth. So you can see how this might anger a clean, -likes-things-in-order Mommy. Luckily for the girls I had no way of knowing who did it so I just had to suck it up and hunt for the stolen crayons.

Now on to the good part – clean up. I walked into the room with a Mr. Clean Magic Eraser® and cleaned up every stray mark in under a minute. I even erased a few marks I saw on the living room wall when I walked by. I love that thing.

If you haven’t tried this product before it’s definitely worth a shot. I don’t use it every day but when I need it I am glad I have it.

Why I do what I do ~ Today while I was cooking supper Chloe ran into the kitchen, opened a drawer, pulled out a measuring cup and ran off. I thought, “Well that explains a lot.”

Wow! I am right there in the boat with you. I have two young children and it seems that by the time I clean one mess, they have made a new one. It’s practically impossible to get everything clean and then actually keep it that way.

I have heard from friends that the Magic Eraser is great, but I guess I really do need to get one of those things and try it for myself. It probably would make clean-up quicker and easier.

I haven’t been able to get these to work for me. Maybe I’m doing it wrong. I have marks all over the wall that need cleaning up and I bought a big ol pack, but they just seem to disintegrate whenever I try. :(

I too am a fan of the magic eraser. My son (22 months) got a hold of a pen from my desk while I was not in sight a couple of weeks ago. He got every wall in the hallway up to 3′ tall. He also got a couple of marks in the living room. I tried everything under my cupboard with a scrub sponge. It was beginning to look like I’d have to paint the walls to get our deposit back until I remembered having a magic eraser in the back of the cupboard. With no elbow grease I was able to get the marks off the walls (and clean the rest of the walls) in minutes. A couple of days later we found out that it also removes pen from the leather in a vehicle. I wish I had stock in this company because this is a magic product.
