The other day I was browsing over at Bakerella because I was looking for a simple chocolate drop cookie recipe. I didn’t end up finding one because I didn’t even get off the first page of cookie recipes before I stopped at this one: Perfectly Peanutty. It’s a recipe for peanut-butter cookies dipped in chocolate then in peanuts … I’m trying to keep from drooling on my keyboard. Yum.
I made them to take to a potluck dinner the other day. I didn’t dip them in peanuts (because I didn’t have any) but I did drizzle chocolate over them. Wow. Delicious. There’s a reason I wanted to share this recipe with you here on Domestic Cents though, more than the fact that I LOVE chocolate and peanut butter together: they were easy and the cookies only have 3 ingredients! I love to share recipes using things you would ordinarily have in your home. So here’s the base recipe (Originally found at Bakerella).
Easy Peanut Butter Cookies
1 cup peanut butter
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
Directions: Combine all ingredients. Refrigerate the batter for 30 minutes. Form into small balls and flatten if you like (I don’t flatten them, it makes them chewier to leave them as balls). Bake in a 325F degree oven for about 18-20 minutes.
If you have a sweet tooth or a love for baking, grab your apron and go browse Bakerella!
Why I do what I do ~ I baked another batch of these cookies for the expressed purpose of taking a photo for this post. I’ll use any excuse to bake something!
