One of the things I do for my family is make all of our bread. I’ve talked about that at length before. However, it occurred to me today, as I was slicing bread, that I hadn’t mentioned a very handy tool that makes homemade bread that much easier.
I use an electric knife to slice it. That’s it – the whole tip. It makes perfect, store-bought slices and it’s much quicker than sawing through with a regular knife. The one I have cost under $15 and I’ve been using it constantly for about 3 years now.
(See that link up there; the one for the electric knife? It’s an affiliate link. That means, if you click that link and purchase the knife, then some of the proceeds will come back to supporting this site.)
Why I do what I do ~ One of the fun things about 3-1/2 year olds is that they are always trying out new words. Sometimes they get them right. Sometimes they get them wrong. Either way – it’s usually very cute. A couple I’m loving: Reflection = Ferlection, Old Mcdonald = Old BicDonald.

Thanks for this! I think it will prod me into getting one. I actually don’t make bread as often as I would like in part because I always do a bad job slicing it. Do you slice a whole loaf at once or just slice pieces as needed?
