Good Reads: Free Flowers

buttercups

I’d been eyeing these buttercups growing among the weeds for a few days now. I finally went out with the sole intention of picking them and I’m glad I did. Don’t they look so pretty in that vase? They are right above my sink where the sun beams in on them brightly in the morning.

I also have a tall vase of purple lupines on my dining table. We stopped on the side of the road where they were growing along the edge of the woods and picked them (no, not in anyone’s yard). I’m not above picking wild flowers to decorate my home. Free and beautiful – it doesn’t get much better than that!

HAPPY FATHERS DAY to my dad, an incredible father to this day; and also to my darling hubby, our daughter is a very lucky girl.

I have some great links this week, including a couple Fathers Day crafty links.

You still have ALL DAY today to think of something nice to do for your dad. My husband was complaining last night about how all the Fathers Day cards have flowers all over them. Save yourself some money. Make a card.

Why I do what I do ~ Chloe was playing with my hair tonight and it was still a little wet from my shower. I noticed she was smelling it so I asked her if it smelled clean. She said, “No, it smells wet.”
