Behold … the chalk version of my family. My daughter made me add the cat – his name is Fenway.

Once you’re finished checking out these great reads from this week be sure to get outside!

Money Stuff

Rethinking The American Dream posted at The Wisdom Journal.

The Importance Of Income Diversity at Gather Little By Little. These days it’s a scary thing to have a home supported by one income. How can you diversify the money coming into your home?

Prepare To Be A Stay At Home Mom posted at Christian Money Mountain. Travis and his wife are looking to start a family. Here are some great tips for young couples, especially young engaged couples – read this before you plan to have kids. If you’re a little late on this one, then head over and read Frugal Dad’s Financial Impact Of Having Kids Early.

Parenting/Family Stuff

How To Teach Kids To Put On Their Own Jackets posted at Parent Hacks. I’m linking to this one because I know first hand that it actually works.

The Skinny On Controlling Food Portions posted at Mommy’s Idea Book. Come on … summer’s coming – read it.

Keeping It All Together: The Family Board posted at Soule Mama.

Crafty Artsy Stuff

Free Printables For A Child’s Easter Table posted at Skip To My Lou.

Scrap Tote over at Curiositys. I drool over some of the things Kate makes. When I’m done with Chloe’s Easter dress this one might be on my “I really hope to find time to make this” list.

Funny Post Of The Week

A Simple Question posted at Country-Fried Mama. You’ll probably only get full appreciation out of this if you have a preschool-aged child in your home – but even if you don’t – it’ll make you smile.

lemonadeSusan at The Expanding Life gave me an award! It’s the Lemons To Lemonade Award. Thanks Susan!

Why I do what I do ~ I took Chloe on a tricycle ride (I walked) today. The road and my driveway are both coated thickly with dirt and rocks from a New England winter’s worth of sanding. We walked/rode slowly. It was nice. I thought what a lucky mom I am as I slowly walked next to my Hello Kitty-Helmeted Child. That’s what I was thinking, not what she was thinking. She looks up at me as I’m daydreaming “Come on Mama, we’re on a mission.”

My kids like to get out on the sidewalk and draw with sidewalk chalk too. Well, actually, the last time we got out the chalk, my little girl was trying to eat it instead of draw with it. Yuck!!

Thanks for the link love!
