We are super excited!! It reminds my wife and I of being back in college participating in Jar Wars or in the Sacrificial Giving Project at the Baptist Student Ministry. The 10 Day Give is such a great opportunity to serve God, to come together as believers, encourage each other, and to feed off of each others experiences and stories as we give of our money and our selves. Just the other day we were trying to pawn vegetables off on our neighbors. We had far too many, since my father-in-law is an organic farmer, and they would have just ended up rotten in our refrigerator. The neighbor's were thrilled with the gesture and came over five minutes later bearing the best fresh baked french bread I have ever had. You will not always get something back when you give, and that is not the purpose, but you may receive a few surprises here and there!
