The things that you do own start to have much more meaning and you appreciate them all that much more. Funny about the comment one day you may not have to be frugal, but i think once you really embrace this life (a life of having/being minimal) no matter how much money you have you won't find filling your life with stuff will be what makes you happy and that is the best place of all to be.
