		<description>As a self-professed writer and poet, I always felt a little strange about giving my creative writing as a gift -- except to Mr. Savvy, that is.  I feel like anyone else would think I&#039;m being cocky about it, as though I&#039;m saying, &quot;here!  I&#039;m so amazing that I don&#039;t buy you a gift, I WROTE you one instead, and now you need to fawn over it.&quot;  

Is that my own personal bias, or do other people feel that way?  I guess the only time I&#039;d think it acceptable to give my writing to someone other than my S.O. is if my writing was published, and the other person expressed interest in buying the book/anthology/whatever.
